I am just getting back into C++ coding as i haven't done much recently so i was just asking what things will i be doing as a coder?

I admit i have absolutely no knowledge of C++ Sockets (network stuff).

So really, i just want a brief run down on the kinds of things i will need to do for this project (i already have a copy of the JKA source...i think)






Also, i am highly proficient in VB.NET and Visual C# GUI applications

I have made

- VERY high quality web browser (all features of IE plus more)
- FTP client
- SMTP client
- Offline Phisher (For hacking)
- Lugormod Building Reference Guide
- Malware Database
- My hacking crews website ad forum penetration testing guide.

So if we need any side programs like that i am your man!

Well, as you may have noticed, we need a good website(hack free) lol. Also, I'm not entirely sure how Lugormod things work, but I have a feeling that things are similar. If you take a look at the Game Development post, Under Mod Development, those are some things that I would look at to see if you can do that. Also, help with menus would be great; I'm more of a Graphics Arts guy, I might be learning alot of C# and .NET soon, but helping to code things such as account information stored serverside or smthg would be appreciated. We're mostly open to ideas though, if there are some things that you can think of that you can do or possibly figure out, it'd be great. But I guess website would be main concern atm if thats your area. ALSO, a consist blogger to keep the website updated; even though it doesn't seem like much of work, it is to keep everyone caught up. And if anything else, be our sort of Mod Representative lol like posting the mod around places and the website would be great. But thats probably all in the future^ when we get some demo material.

Ok sounds good

C# and .NET programing is useless for game modification....

C++, C and Lua are the only languages that are globally used (sometimes python)

I've already begun working on a kill streak announcement in-game for the mod

Holla when you get the website up


EDIT: i am VERY skilled with SQL which is a database language, so i can help with that and integrate it with PHP

C# and C++ are similar in ways, but C++ has some different things you can't do in C# (or vice versa, I forget)

however
C# is completely different to C++

much less powerful, completely different syntax, not very logical (imho)

C and C++ have a very close bond however
